Management of hay fever includes allergen avoidance, antihistamines (oral, intranasal & ocular) & Intranasal corticosteroids. These treatments will only provide temporary relief i.e. symptoms will recur once treatment is discontinued.  The permanent solution in the majority of cases is to modify your child’s immunological response to these inhaled allergens by the virtue of immunotherapy i.e. desensitisation to promote tolerance. This is the only known treatment option with the potential to provide long-term post-treatment benefits by altering the natural course of the allergic disease. This treatment can be offered in the form of tablets, drops or injections. All options will be discussed and with the help of Dr Abass’s experience in this modality the best treatment option will be provided
